Two things I don’t understand about women are: cockiness and complete lack of self-confidence.

I’ve seen time and time again girls who are self-proclaimed “sexy” or “beautiful” and it kind of gets to the point where you can tell they’ve placed themselves fairly high on their self-made pedestal.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love when girls can be modest. If you know you’re pretty then by all means rock it. Thank people for telling you that they think you are and if you agree, great. But keep it to yourself. (Most of the time at least) Cockiness is just not cute and the moment that you post everywhere how “sexy” you think you are, you’re just being plain old cocky.

Now someone having a low self-esteem, please don’t get me wrong I’ve been there. I was there for all of elementary school but hey, I came out of it. I understand that most of the time girls are comparing themselves to these beautiful, and not to mention complete fake girls they see on magazines, t.v and mostly on the internet. Especially Tumblr. When I was going through my low self-esteem “phase” Tumblr wasn’t big, let alone even created (not to my knowledge at least idk), but I still get little hits of that. Little hits of “oh man I wish I looked like her” and then I remember it’s a website. It’s a website on a computer, and computers mean access to photo editing software which makes how they look, to me at least, unattainable by anyone. Even if they’re not actually edited, thinking that helps me move on with my day and keep my confidence high.
I guarantee you you’ve been called beautiful before. Take that, even if it was once, twice, three or four times and just roll with it! Keep it under your belt and I promise you the moment you start wearing that confidence, you’ll get even more compliments.
